Adding pictures to a loved one’s funeral program adds life to the deceased person’s memory. However, while we all know how important it is to use an image, it’s even more imperative to make sure that image truly represents the person who died. Keep these tips in mind when adding a photo to a memorial program:
- Make sure the images you choose is the person who died; some family members resemble others, so it’s always best to double check.
- Select images that compliment his or her features, preferably ones in which the person is smiling or grinning.
- Don’t use main images that are so outdated that your loved one is unrecognizable. Baby and childhood pictures are typically added on the inside of the program.
- Make sure the images are clear enough to enlarge and reproduce.
Once you choose your images, you can then plan how they will be showcased in your program. You can add photos to the cover, and also make a funeral program to showcase your loved ones family and friends. For more information see our articles on funeral program collage and funeral program pictures.
